Not just yet... I'm really just now beginning to narrow down some resources and I found someone who did her field experience at an actual Reggio school, so I'm hoping to put together something more comprehensive to share. I am all about using the play to learn. I can't wait to bake cookies and talk about how we get butter and then let him make his own! I can barely stand the wait until he and I can plant seeds in the garden and check them everyday!

Cool. Do you have any specific Reggio and Waldorf titles to suggest? I have found these books hard to come by at our local library but I'm considering starting an alumni account at my graduate school to see what resources they have; of course, there's always Amazon. Anyway, our house is eclectic . . . mostly a.p., a little bit montessori, and a little bit waldorf. Mostly though, we're all about play.

I think that I am currently on the verge the brain goo stage. The hours of research I used to spend buried in books has stalled and I'm trying to restart my learning. I haven't really figured out how to manage my time so that I get to do the scrapbooking/sewing that I love to. Thankfully, my love of cooking feeds the family, so I still get to have time for that. Even with the best of intentions, my blogging/journaling has really suffered. I find that I work from the moment I open my eyes until I close them again. My husband is always telling me to take time and relax, but I can't until all the work is done.

I work 2 days a week as an education director for a supplementary learning center. It used to be my escape, but of late, it's been a real burden to go. I find myself getting angry with the parents who feel that I should be able to magically cure their child's problem without them lifting a finger. However, I have learned what not to do and have been inspired to look into different methods of education for future use (sending our kids to the local schools is out of the question as their state is the reason why I still have a job!). So the texts on Reggio and Waldorf are finding their way around town with me in my giant purse... just in case I have a moment to sneak a peek!

Hooray! It always makes me feel happy to be with a kindred spirit. Do you have any title recommendations?

Thanks Robin! Thank you for the encouragement and the title suggestions. Honestly, I'm not sure where my drive comes from . . . probably my hard working parents. Yeah, I think I owe it to them.

I'm with you. The reading and writing are key for me too. Still, I find that I read chapters here and there (in the bathroom), while waiting for a doctor's appointment, etc. I'd love an afternoon to just sit down in a big chair and read, read, read. That would be glorious.

Thank you for the reading suggestions. I've added them to my list.
