Soon we will understand what it feels like to be Alaskan, :-) The snow just keeps falling and I think we’re getting good at living with it. Each time we head outside, we gear up with our snow pants, gloves, hat, scarf, and coat. Oh, and several pairs of socks under our boots. Warm feet are key.
Our neighborhood couldn’t be a better place to be “snowed in”; our neighbors gather at a luge at its center where we go sledding from morning til night. I’ve even managed to take Levi out in my all-terrain stroller; once he falls asleep, I make use of my time and beg Annabelle for a few runs with her sled.
As far as my photographic education goes, this week I am “on break” though I carry my camera with me everywhere. I did create a flickr account for bluebirdbaby’s Winter Beauty photo challenge. To see my photostream, go here, and to view the amazing work of other participating photographers, head over here.
So, since we’re talking weather, how’s it looking outside your window?

I love the way that photo turned out – just beautiful! I think I’m going to have to drive my kids to some snow.
We are having the mildest winter ever, and a very early spring. Which is good, except that we’re hosting the Winter Olympics and snow is in short supply for the skiers. Ah, irony!
Here in Tennessee we have 2-3 inches and it’s falling again this evening. It’s fluffy and is being blown by a wind that swirls it up and around here and there. I didn’t bring my winter wear when we moved here thinking it wouldn’t be needed. It wasn’t either for 12 years, but here I am without boots or leggings. No snow angels for me this year.
It looks like Annabelle knows how to celebrate a good snow event.
Not too much snow here, they predicted quite a bit but I think we’ve only gotten about 2 inches. I’m jealous of all your snow! Very windy tonight, hoping we don’t lose power.
Looks like Annabelle’s having a blast in the snow!
She’s a cutie. I love the color of the sled against the sparkly white snow, and Annabelle’s face just lights up the whole photo!
